ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:

The Department of Computer Science and Applications was started in the year 2005 with an Under Graduate programme BCA.                                                                                                                             

  1. The department strives to provide a conductive environment for the students to develop analytical and practical skills and apply them to real world problems.                                                                             
  2. In the year 2012 the post graduate programme M.Sc Computer Science was introduced to enhance the knowledge of the students.                                                                                                                     
  3. The research programme M.Phil was started in the year 2014 to educate the students with advanced knowledge in the field of computer science which includes the technical and analytical work.                        
  4. At present the department is full-fledged by starting the PhD programme in the year 2019 which involves independent study and research in a focused area of interest.                                                  
  5. We have well equipped and experienced staff to work with excellent team spirit .                                         
  6. At present the department has 8 faculty members in which 2 completed their doctorate and 6 of them are pursuing their Ph.D                                                                                                                                   
  7. The faculty members are experts in the specializations namely Advanced Networks, Digital Image Processing and Data Mining                                                                                                                     
  8. The department is a member of IEEE and CSI                                                                                               
  9. To motivate the students, the department organizes regular training in state of art software & hardware, arranges workshop, National & International Conferences periodically.

  • Creation and dissemination of knowledge for students to master the students on the latest technologies.
  • Imparting the technical skills to meet industrial needs.
  • Remedial Coaching.
  • Students Training and Placement Guidance.
  • Conducting Awareness Programmes.
  • Social Service.

 About the Department: The Department of Computer Science and Applications has initiated a series of association activities, The Staff Member include   Head of the Department Dr. K.SANTHOSH KUMAR , with the staff supervisors Mrs. S.D.BARKATH UNISHA,Mr.JOHNSANTHOSH, Sr. JANET LOBO  Mrs.Anushiya, Mrs.Bhavya, Mrs.Salma and The department kicked off its activities by electing office bearers.
